Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using English Lens (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the app. EchoFlow Labs (“we,” “us”) may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date above changes when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Service scope
English Lens is an iPhone app that helps you understand English text you choose to share, paste, or type. Features include translation, explanations, spoken retelling, and the Learn with EchoFlow Action extension. The app processes only text you explicitly provide—it does not read unshared content from other apps.
App Store launch is in progress. Features, availability, and supported iOS versions may change. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice where practicable.
Accounts and sign-in
You need an account to use the app’s signed-in features. Sign-in is provided through Supabase Auth using Sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple, and experimental passkeys, as shown on the sign-in screen. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure.
Third-party sign-in providers apply their own terms and privacy policies. You may delete your account in app Settings; see our privacy policy for what is deleted and what minimal records we retain for deletion safety.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app or our systems. This includes, without limitation:
- Submitting content you do not have the right to use, or that is illegal, harassing, or harmful.
- Attempting to probe, disrupt, or overload our infrastructure, including automated abuse, denial-of-service behavior, or prompt injection and similar attacks designed to manipulate AI outputs or bypass safeguards.
- Reverse engineering, scraping, or reselling the service except as allowed by law.
- Using the app in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the service or other users.
Your text and AI-generated results
You submit selected text for processing. Outputs are generated by automated systems, including large language models. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for high-stakes decisions. You are responsible for how you use outputs. The service is provided for language learning assistance, not as professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
Subscriptions and fees
English Lens does not currently offer paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. If we introduce paid features later, price, renewal, and cancellation terms will be shown in the App Store before you purchase, and we will update these Terms as needed.
Availability and changes
We strive to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, outages, provider failures, or limits on AI usage may affect results. We may change features, limits, or these Terms as the product evolves.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, legal requirements, or to protect the service. Sections that by nature should survive (including disclaimers and limitations) continue after termination.
Disclaimers
The app and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EchoFlow Labs and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Except where liability cannot be limited by law, our total liability for any claims relating to the app is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Privacy
Our English Lens privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and delete information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
